Ross Clark

Ross has over 40 years’ experience of working with growing businesses, in various sectors, particularly in the South-East and in Scotland. This has been in different roles – as a consultant, as a lead advisor on innovation programmes, and as a Director in Innovation Centres in Scotland and London. He was a Director in his family business manufacturing bottling and packaging machinery, prior to joining the Howden Group, a global air and gas handling company. There he was Managing Director of a £11m manufacturing division with two factories in the UK, and European Sales Director for the Group, with over £100m of sales from factories throughout Europe. He has also worked with a Manufacturing Institute, providing project support to the UK’s automotive sector.

Working in various innovation centres and on innovation programmes has involved supporting numerous design, manufacturing and technology sectors – these include food & drink, packaging, engineering, energy, space, creative, software. Recent work has also included supporting companies designing circular economy business models.

Ross also has experience of international business activity, largely through the two businesses mentioned above, principally in Europe.

Ross has an MBA (with distinction) from the University of Glasgow and a BA (Hons) in Town Planning from Glasgow School of Art.
