Mick has expertise in leadership and business growth and an extensive background spanning over three decades in the military, entrepreneurial, and higher education sectors. He holds an MBA and is a Chartered Manager. He also has a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice.
Mick is an accomplished operations and training specialist with 22 years of service in the Royal Air Force. During his tenure, he primarily trained Special Forces in high-altitude parachute insertion techniques. His distinguished military career also included a four-year attachment to the Special Air Service, where he executed parachute operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Transitioning from military service to entrepreneurship, Mick founded and managed two successful retail and leadership training businesses. He demonstrated excellence in business strategy, digital innovation, financial management, and customer service. These ventures significantly shaped his business growth and operational management skills, allowing him to collaborate with prestigious institutions such as the NHS, KPMG, Zurich, and Vodafone.
Mick also led the creation and strategic direction of four Business Innovation and Incubation Centres at Oxford Business College. His work focused on developing and implementing entrepreneurship programmes seamlessly integrating academic theory with practical business applications.
