Irving combines a background in commercial banking with experience of business support in the enterprise sector.
The first part of Irving’s career was with Barclays Bank in a variety of roles with companies including security for lending and positions such as Small Business Manager and Projects and Premises Manager.
He previously worked with Oxford Innovation as a Business Adviser under the Growth Accelerator programme as well as a number of enterprise support companies including Business Link. Notable achievements include multiple bids for and delivery of Access to Finance programmes and the development of coaching academies for business advisers.
Irving’s own company – Business Problems Resolved – specialised in consultancy services to SMEs in such areas as strategy, marketing, sales and finance – his areas of interest / specialisation – across a broad spectrum of industry sectors.
He is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
