Skirting 4 U, a leading UK manufacturer of bespoke interior mouldings, has partnered with the Walsall High-Growth Programme, delivered by Oxford Innovation Advice on behalf of Walsall Council, to accelerate its growth strategy. The programme provides expert guidance designed to help high-growth businesses overcome operational challenges and unlock new opportunities.
Through the programme, Skirting 4 U has gained strategic insights into its management structure and digital operations. This has led to its onboarding onto the West Midlands High Growth Accelerator, delivered by Gateley Global, which provides intensive and tailored support to selected high growth SMEs around identified areas for improvement. Additionally, the company has joined the Walsall High-Growth Programme peer-to-peer cohort collaborating with other local businesses to share insights, exchange ideas, and work on joint growth initiatives.
Skirting 4 U is owned and led by entrepreneurs Wayne Draper, Kieron Miller, and Paul Draper. Since founding the business in 2013, the trio has combined complementary skills with a shared vision to drive growth. Their hands on leadership has been instrumental in scaling operations, maintaining quality craftsmanship, and building a robust digital presence. As the company matures, they are now delegating operational responsibilities to a capable management team, enabling them to focus on strategic initiatives, innovation, and long-term growth planning.
Founded in 2013, Skirting 4 U specialises in high quality skirting boards, architraves, windowsills, plinth blocks, and other decorative timber products. Based in Aldridge, Walsall, the company employs around 40 full-time staff and produces a wide range of skirting board designs in MDF, oak, pine, and other premium materials. All products are made to order and shipped nationwide, serving tradespeople, property developers, interior designers, and DIY enthusiasts.
With an annual turnover of approximately £4.6 million, Skirting 4 U has achieved consistent year-on-year growth by combining traditional craftsmanship with a strong e-commerce platform that enables direct to customer sales nationwide.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its product range, explore export markets, enhance production efficiency through automation, and further strengthen its digital presence. Investment in a new outsourced digital platform will drive online sales, supported by the recruitment of a senior digital sales and marketing professional to lead its implementation.
