Simon has spent most of the last 20 years supporting business growth in both private and public sector roles. This has included Director positions in two significant training/consultancy businesses, three years running the Department for International Trade’s Midlands operation, and two years managing the D2N2 Growth Hub. Simon has first-hand experience of the challenges of running a business in a highly competitive environment, and also a deep understanding of both national and local business support.
In the previous century Simon was an Army logistics officer which included operational tours in the Balkans, Northern Ireland, and the Falklands.
