Rebecca initially trained as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in London, specialising in fraud investigation. She then moved to Germany where she worked for GE helping implement the Europe wide rollout of a new financial management software system.
In 2001, she returned to Cornwall and jointly set up an award-winning, ethical toy business. Starting a business from scratch and growing it to a successful operation that sold both wholesale and retail, taught her many business and life skills which she continues to draw on today.
In 2012 she became Cornwall client manager for the Fredericks Foundation, a charity helping start up businesses acquire funding. She is proud to see many of those businesses she helped start up still going strong today. As a keen writer she studied for an MA in Professional Writing at Falmouth University before joining the team at Access to Finance in September 2018.
