LTC Healthcare

Yorkshire Healthcare Manufacturer brings new product to a Pan-European market with support from the Strategic Growth Programme.

LTC Healthcare (Leeds Trading Company Limited) are a family owned business based in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire founded in 1993. They supply healthcare products to the NHS and private healthcare facilities, charities, and the private sector.

They reached out to the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP)’s Strategic Growth Programme (SGP) to access their support; which is aimed at helping ambitious High Growth SME businesses through the provision of fully funded support and business coaching.

Through the programme, the company worked with Nick Palmer, one of the Strategic Growth Managers from SGP in the Leeds City Region. Nick worked with LTC Healthcare to conduct a full business review including GROWTHmapper® analysis to identify and prioritise improvement areas within the business. The result of the analysis was that a focus on change management and changing their business development activities should be their priority.

It was agreed that an improvement project should take place to create a Pan-European digital marketing strategy to drive brand awareness and product promotion. SGP provided funding for Steve Burles from Burles & Co, to implement the improvements by providing his expert consultancy support over a course of four days. Originally LTC Healthcare had multiple websites spread across several third parties. As part of the business improvement project; all of the websites were combined.

LTC Healthcare’s Strategic Business Development Manager; Simon Greenwood, stated: “When we engaged with SGP we were already underway with the redesign of our LTC website. The support given allowed us to really understand what we wanted from the new site and take into consideration how a potential customer may interact with it. This work allowed us to modify and redesign the production of the website which led to our new website which is now live.”

Strategic Business Development Manager Simon Greenwood commented; “As the website has just launched, the outcome of the programme has been the consolidation of our websites. We have reached our goal faster, reached the market faster and with a plan for future activity. We believe a saving in time and money has been achieved as without the SGP we would be months behind.”

Nick Palmer has stated; “We are thrilled that this was a successful project. This is a great illustration of how SGP can support ambitious SMEs with a targeted, specialist intervention to secure growth.”
