The relationship between Dan Severn, Operations Director at DM Orthotics and Oxford Innovation coach Mike Jobson developed based on trust and honesty.
Coaching sessions focused on bringing the multiple areas of the company together, with a common goal of streamlining the entire manufacturing process.
By taking out redundant quality checks, changing the flow and rearranging work stations, lead times went from two weeks down to a day.
Improved productivity levels have allowed DM Orthotics to expand into new markets as well as design and manufacture new product ranges.
Mike worked closely with Dan, teaching him valuable leadership skills, while also calling on other Oxford Innovation coaches to help develop other members of his team in specialist areas.
