Cleaner Seas Group in Bude is an innovative, purpose-driven green-tech company with a global solution to the issue of microplastics and microplastic pollution in our oceans.

In this video, co-founder and CMO, Avril Greenaway talks about the ways the Access to Finance team has helped Cleaner Seas Group secure grant funding and undertake a successful crowdfunding campaign. Support that has helped the company to grow, raise awareness of its domestic filter (known as Indi) that can be retro-fitted to any washing machine to capture microfibres, develop an industrial filter, form partnerships with white goods companies and look at export opportunities. The company has even been nominated for the prestigious Earthshot prize!

Avril explains: “Having that support from Access to Finance has made the crowdfunding experience much quicker and easier, getting our project live and getting the result we really wanted. It has been great working with the team, they’re very approachable, friendly, very quick to respond. They really feel like an extension to our team.”
